TWENTY ARKANSAS SCHOOL DISTRICTS RECEIVE 'A' GRADES IN POLICY FOUNDATION STUDY

(December 20, 2005) Twenty Arkansas school districts receive 'A' grades in a forthcoming Policy Foundation study based on the 2004 Iowa Test of Basic Skill Scores (verbal skills and mathematics).

The study was conducted by Little Rock Economist Mark Witkowski. The full study will be released by the Policy Foundation in January 2006.

The 20 school districts receiving 'A' grades are: (A) Lakeside, Fayetteville, Greenwood, Charleston, Bentonville, Valley View, Mountain Home, Harrison, Bryant, Valley Springs, Lake Hamilton, (A-) Salem, Mena, Searcy, Scranton, Clarksville, Walnut Ridge, Carlisle, Farmington and Siloam Springs.
